The Journey of Taste

That sweetness in coconut rice, the crunchy patacones, the thick and tasty broth, can only come from hands with a Caribbean soul. More than 10 years ago, Martha and her family left the humid and warm coastal air behind to stay in this Valley of strong winds.

Newcomers, first settled in La Unión, where Martha worked as a cook in one of her brother's restaurants, while her husband worked in the other, in Zarzal, as a waiter. Both places offered seafood, preserving them in their coastal essence.

After a couple of years, after the closure of one of the establishments and already well rooted in this land, they moved to Roldanillo and opened, with scarce 7 tables and a little crockery loaned by Martha's brother, La Sazón de La Costeña. Today this place has been built to the point of tenacity, has a large space of 29 tables and offers a wide variety of dishes typical of the coast, always available to the public, positioning itself as one of the most acclaimed restaurants in the municipality.

Martha is still behind the stove, even after the long journey, committed to providing her customers with the true flavor of the Caribbean in every preparation.
