Grow at the service of the community

With eighteen years old, he was already working in the transit inspection Office, when he was over 20 years old, he inaugurated with one of his friends the first driving academy of the municipality. Since then the journey of Delio Naranjo has been one of constant increase, always to put himself at the service of the community.

His business work began in 2001; with his own motorcycle, an used car that he had bought and an instructor from Pereira; he took the first steps into the driving teaching, marked by the effort and perseverance. ”The first month we didn’t have any student, the second month we got only one student”, he remembers. Almost a year after that, his partner retired from the business, and he starts the formalization process, also, moving to his first official headquarters. After the highs and lows, from small advances and setbacks, North Driving School manages to locate in the transit inspection Office building, from where it moved to his its current location in 2010.

This project, far beyond meaning an occupation for Delio, it´s the main way by which he seeks to give the municipality back the opportunities it has given him to grow. North Driving School is not only a driving academy, but a place to protect the life, to enhance the awareness and to take the tools to the self-caring and prevention, it is a change of view.

To his work, it´s added a life time devoted to the service and to help social programs and initiatives made in the municipality. Delio has been a defender of the public spaces and their utilization, a supporter of the solidarity and stubborn in adding more value to his town. A man that grows to also help his community to grow.
